Brian Duckett Brian Duckett
Brian is chairman of The Franchising Centre. He writes regularly for the UK franchising and business media and has presented at several seminars and workshops, including those arranged for The Institute of Directors, The Confederation of British Industry, The British Franchise Association, The International Franchise Association and British Franchise Exhibitions. Internationally, he writes regular features for franchising magazines in the USA, Europe, Australia and India, and has spoken at several franchise conferences on five continents.  His book “How to Turn Your Business Into The Next Global Brand – Creating and Managing a Franchised Network” was published in the autumn of 2007.

Bill Pegram Bill Pegram
Bill is a founding Director of The Franchising Centre and has been in franchising for over 25 years. He was first attracted to the concept of franchising because, having run his own small business; he understood and related to the idea of small businesses benefitting from the branding and support of a franchisor. Bill went on to be the UK Managing Director of a major international franchise and has since advised many franchise businesses in all aspects of franchising. A qualified marketeer, he also acts as Marketing Director for The Franchising Centre.

Paul Monaghan Paul Monaghan
Paul is a professional retailer with over twenty-five years of franchising experience, including the set-up, training and support of the largest chain of retail shoe franchisees in the UK. As one of the Founding Directors of The Franchising Centre he has been involved in consultancy projects with a wide range of companies. He has special responsibility for the development and delivery of training through The Franchise Training Centre. He has been a Visiting Lecturer in Franchising at Bristol University and has delivered the Finance Module at Middlesex University Business School's 'Summer School in Franchising'. With Brian Duckett he is co-author of 'How to Turn your Business into the Next Global Brand'.

Farrah Rose Farrah Rose
Farrah has unrivalled experience in international franchising and has been operating in this field since 1984. Initially working for major corporations, Farrah began advising businesses as a consultant in 1996. During this time she has worked with organisations of all types from family businesses to major brands, helping them to expand their businesses into global markets. Farrah is now recognised as one of the leading authorities on international franchising and her expertise is sought by companies around the world.

Stafford Cant Stafford Cant, North-West
Stafford is an experienced marketing and systems consultant who has a strong background in franchise marketing & recruitment, business analysis, re-engineering and systemisation. He has run businesses in Europe and the Middle East that specialised in launching leading regional franchisors into new markets. As Director of a food multinational he has created new concepts and campaigns for food retail, restaurants and catering in Europe & America.

Iain Martin Iain Martin
Iain has been in franchising for almost 20 years with extensive experience across many areas and has provided consultancy, franchisee and executive recruitment services to a broad range of franchisors. He specialises in master franchise recruitment and has a track record of helping franchisors break into new international markets by appointing master franchisees.

Alan Wilkinson Alan Wilkinson, North-East
Alan has 20 years’ experience in franchising and has held positions in Recruitment, Franchise Management, and National Sales. He has been involved with several UK franchise start ups, including running a pilot operation himself. Alan has also been a franchisee with two franchise concepts. Alan obtained the Diploma in Franchise Management from The Franchise Training Centre in 2000.

Bill Hendrie Bill Hendrie, South-West
Bill has over 25 years management experience gained within diverse business sectors ranging from retail to recruitment. He has worked within the franchise sector since 1995 in both training and operational roles and latterly as Franchise Director of one of the UK’s largest independently owned recruitment companies. Bill’s business ethos is to ‘Roll his sleeves up’ and work with franchisors to maximise on all opportunities to successfully grow their businesses. Bill is an active member of the British Franchise Association having held both regional and national roles. He is a past Chairman of The Franchise Group for Scotland.

Shirley Hughes Shirley Hughes
Shirley’s career in recruitment started in 1993 and she has placed candidates within the Transport Industry, Hospitality Sector, Commercial Marketplace and Franchising Industry from junior to senior positions. Shirley’s role is to ensure that whether you are a candidate looking for a new position or a client who needs a new member of staff, you will be able to discuss your needs with her at any time.

Jan Webb Jan Webb
Jan manages The Franchising Centre office and is responsible for lead tracking and reporting ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Mark Holland Mark Holland
Mark has a wealth of franchising experience gained working for more than ten years at Director Level within many well-known franchise brands.  Specialising in taking a hands on approach in Operations, Sales and Marketing Mark's skills have brought success to businesses as diverse as van based domestic cleaning through to premise based retail or business to business models.  Having successfully brought to fruition new franchise systems and recruited new franchisees, Mark has the experience to assist those looking at franchising as a credible and profitable form of business expansion.

Dugan Aylen Dugan Aylen
Dug has specialised in everything to do with franchisee recruitment for the last 10 years and has a passion for helping franchise companies find the right profile of franchise owner, as well as ensuring that potential franchisees go through the right process to ensure they also come to the right decision. Dug has worked with many franchise companies, improving and implementing franchisee recruitment systems to ensure success in this key area of their business.

Pam Gordon Pam Gordon
Pam Gordon has a background in finance and business development.  After university she worked for four years for HSBC Asset Finance in business development and account management.  A banking career gave her a great grounding in sales, customer service, staff and project management.

In 1999, she began her franchising career working with Carewatch Care Services as Franchise Development Manager and grew the franchise network from 60 franchisees to 120 in just four years.  In 2003, Pam worked as Co-Director in setting up The Essential Business Guide (Brighton & Hove) which was a book and directory giving start-up advice and support to small businesses in the area.

Laura Pennington Laura Pennington
Laura brings a wealth of experience to our franchise staff recruitment team having started her recruitment career in the financial sector before moving into franchising. She is very enthusiastic about her work and has a clear view of what her value is to a client: to save them time and money by finding them the right person, first time.

Sean Cragg Sean Cragg
Sean has extensive experience in sales, marketing and business development and has a firm belief that strong ethical Franchising brings more than just reward for a Franchisor, it helps many people reach their own personal goals by investing in and developing, innovative, exciting brands as new markets emerge.

Sean has a specific blend of experience that encompasses leisure, healthcare and FMCG businesses. Now having over ten years of franchising experience mostly at Director level, he particularly loves the outcome when supporting someone else to succeed and developing people to contribute effectively within an organisation.

Laura-Harvey Smith Laura Harvey-Smith

Laura has 15 years’ experience in Franchising and working with owner managed businesses, having started her career at the other end of the spectrum in the corporate world with IBM.

After IBM she worked for a leading Franchisor as a Support Manager working her way up to General Manager. It was this journey that got her ‘hooked’ on Franchising as gave her great insight in to the World of Franchising and the role of Franchisor and Franchisee! Looking to put what she’d learnt into action she then moved on to work with Business owners, advising and facilitating the creation of their Strategic Plans and encouraging a culture of Continual Professional Development for all at every level of a business.

Steve Gould Steve Gould

Steve has been involved with leading edge franchising for over 30 years. Most of his experience has been gained through working at Director Level within high profile franchise brands. Many of these brands have been High Street multiple-site operations both in the UK and internationally across 48 countries. Steve has worked across a large number of different franchise business model concepts so his in depth knowledge covers any problem and issue that may come up. 

Steve specialises in taking "first stage" franchise concepts, building these into national and international brands. With a sound platform of Operations, to include Sales and Marketing, franchise Training and raising bank and manufacturing loans, Steve concentrates on making the franchise work for the franchisee, which in turn makes it work for the franchisor.

Anwar Uddin Anwar Uddin

As your franchise consultant, I will support you through the full life-cycle of franchising your business.
